What is the difference between Assisted Living and Long-Term Care?
Assisted Living services are appropriate for residents who require assistance with their activities of daily living as well as general medical oversight.
Long-Term Care services are appropriate for residents who require more extensive care and continual assistance by two staff members for activities of daily living.
What insurance do you accept?
Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Long-Term Care at Norterre are paid for by private pay funds and Long-Term Care insurance.
Short-Term Rehabilitation is covered under Medicare A benefit. Contact admissions for the most up to date insurance provider information and your specific eligibility requirements.
Who provides medical oversight?
Kansas City Medicine Partners (KCMP) provide geriatric medical services to all residents. All residents (Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Long-Term) may continue to be seen by their primary care physician if they choose. KCMP physicians work in tandem with Norterre administrators and directors of nursing for continuity of care.
Can residents drive?
We encourage all our residents to remain as independent as possible. Residents are able to drive their vehicles unless otherwise directed by the state.
Do you provide transportation?
We provide transportation to medical appointments on specific days and on a schedule. Please contact administration for specific details.
Are you pet friendly?
We love pets. Pet’s must be up to date on immunizations and a pet deposit may apply.
